Habit: Some spiders like moisture and are found in basements, crawl spaces, and other damp parts of buildings. Others like dry, warm areas such as subfloors, air vents, upper corners of rooms, and attics. Spiders typically hide in dark areas.

Diet: They like to feed on insects.

Reproduction: After a period varying from one week to several months after mating, the female lays her eggs in the safety of darkness. About 1000 eggs can be laid in 8-10 minutes. Some spiders only produce a few eggs while some can produce up to 9000 eggs. Only about 2% survive to maturity.

Other: There are more than 30,000 species of spiders.
